How to Make Caramel ApplesHalloween means tasty treats for ghosts and goblins. Traditional goodies are always a hit at Halloween parties. Make your own mouthwatering, homemade caramel apples with this easy recipe to celebrate the Halloween holiday. 

 

 

 

 

Recipe Ingredients

  • 40 caramel cubes
  • 12 apples preferably Granny Smith
  • 1 tablespoon of water
  • 12 wooden sticks
  • 1 sheet of wax paper approximately 24" long greased with margarine or butter
  1. Prepare apples by washing and drying thoroughly.
  2. Remove stems and insert the wooden sticks into the stem hole until about half the stick is in the apple
  3. Melt the caramels with the water in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
  4. Dip the apples into the hot caramel sauce, coating the apple completely.
  5. Place on greased, wax paper
  6. Store your caramel apples in the refrigerator.

TIPS

  • Before serving, remove apples from the refrigerator and allow to stand for about fifteen minutes.

For a funny prank, replace the apple with an onion and watch them scream their heads off!
